Age spots, freckles, sun spots, birthmarks and the mask of pregnancy are all forms of excess skin pigment. IPL photofacials remove or diminish unwanted pigment and color, fragmenting and dispersing the unwanted melanin in the skin with light energy.
IPL, or intense pulsed light, is a non-invasive treatment using filtered light frequencies to target excess pigment, as well as small veins and facial redness, without harming the surrounding skin. Rosacea, sun damage, age spots, freckling, broken capillaries, spider veins and redness are removed, much like wiping dust off a TV screen. IPL also stimulates collagen remodeling, resulting in plumper skin, improvement in the appearance of fine lines, and smaller pores. The end-result is smoother, healthier and younger appearing skin.
