Commonly known as the “lunch time peel” because it takes only minutes to perform, the microdermabrasion treatment is a gentle gradual exfoliation of the skin that is effective in treating fine lines and wrinkles, acne scars, sun damage, age spots, large pores, stretch marks and uneven skin tone.
Microdermabrasion works in a stepwise fashion. By initially spacing the treatments 2 weeks apart for 4 treatments, then spacing subsequent treatments every 6 weeks, you are able to maximize results. Following treatment, you can return immediately to work. You should refrain from direct exposure to sunlight for one week before and after each treatment. An SPF 30 sunblock is recommended at all times.
